An external member is: a meeting participant who does not belong to the "organization to which the current meeting is affiliated.”
For instance: If you are a member of Organization A and are invited to a meeting of Organization B, but you haven't joined Organization B, then you are considered an external member for that meeting.
Common examples of external members include:
- Your clients
- Your principal
- Your business partners
